Yao Trip Blotter

Description and story

This blotter design features the iconic “Yao Ming Face” meme – a simplified drawing based on a real-life photo of the basketball player laughing sarcastically. Originally used to express dismissive or ironic reactions, the face became a cultural shorthand for “I don’t care” energy. In this design, the meme is given a new layer of meaning. The exaggerated facial expression captures a familiar human response: laughing uncontrollably at how absurd life can be.

Sometimes, when reality twists in unexpected ways, laughter is the only reaction left. The repeating, warped pattern of Yao’s face echoes the kind of visual overload we associate with chaotic or humorous moments. Materials

Printed and perforated blotter paper.

The blotter is made of 180 g/m2 matt white paper.

The black cardstock is made of 220 g/m2 paper.

Packings

Simple packing: The blotter is placed into a BOPP celophane sleeve with hanging hole.

Delux packing: The blotter is mounted onto an A4-sized black photo board using transparent photo corner stickers and placed into a BOPP celophane sleeve with hanging hole.

Shipping

Blotters are shipped in envelopes with two protective cardboard stiffeners. Larger orders are shipped in rigid cardboard envelopes or boxes.
